love the characters share to shock the reader. Eroticism is always used
to move the book forward and to show us deeper levels of the characters’
minds. In particular, the growing obsession Xiturias has for Mauren

and Kier is just lovely. Heck, I could see how she could fall in love
with him even without laying eyes on him. Souls’ Embrace
is a highly sensual book. The erotic tension permeates through it. Not
having read any of Ms. Laurence’s previous works, Souls’
Embrace was a great introduction to her works. This reader will
