When I write erotic romance stories, I do it with a very specific goal in mind: to show how sex can possess a purity, a cleanness, a truly spiritual beauty. I believe that through such fiction, the reader can beneficially explore the deeper archetypal and spiritual elements of sex. The power of sex in literature is derived from the personalities it engages; it is the union of souls, the commingling of distinct personalities, which provides us a better understanding of the purpose and value and beauty of sex. Through my stories, I try to find new ways to tap into the innocent, pure, spiritual source of joy that sex can be. My novels Souls' Embrace and Bloodchained, meanwhile, are paranormal romances with suspense and a good dash of spiciness. While somewhat less "graphic" than my anthologies, my paranormal novels deal with some of the same engrossing themes: attraction, intimacy, desire and trust, submission and dominance, and the bonds between souls. Lastly there is my most recent book, Looking on Darkness. It's a mainstream novel about a kind of psychic vampirism, in which I explore my favorite concepts from Jungian psychoanalytic theory. And that's a mouthful! Please write to me at dianalaurence@wi.rr.com.
I'd love to hear from you!
