I'm Diana, author of the bestselling, award-winning "Soulful Sex" anthologies, as well as several other works of romantic fiction.

When I write erotic romance stories, I do it with a very specific goal in mind: to show how sex can possess a purity, a cleanness, a truly spiritual beauty. I believe that through such fiction, the reader can beneficially explore the deeper archetypal and spiritual elements of sex. The power of sex in literature is derived from the personalities it engages; it is the union of souls, the commingling of distinct personalities, which provides us a better understanding of the purpose and value and beauty of sex. Through my stories, I try to find new ways to tap into the innocent, pure, spiritual source of joy that sex can be.

My novels Souls' Embrace and Bloodchained, meanwhile, are paranormal romances with suspense and a good dash of spiciness. While somewhat less "graphic" than my anthologies, my paranormal novels deal with some of the same engrossing themes: attraction, intimacy, desire and trust, submission and dominance, and the bonds between souls.

FAQs:

So really, what kind of stuff do you write?

I do write about sex in my romance fiction, but in a tasteful, literary way. To find out what I write, and don't write, and decide whether my writing might be for you, I suggest you read my essay "Between a Cock and a Hard Place."

What are the "Soulful Sex Partners"?

Membership in SS Partners is now closed, but you can learn about the project on my blog Soulful Sex: Partners. The 60+ Partners and I teamed up to write the first romantic novel ever written cooperatively, Bloodchained, released in September 2007 .

Yes, that was pretty strange. Are you up to anything else?

I recently adopted the hobby of working in polymer clay. I'm really quite addicted! You can see my jewelry, switchplates and sculptures in my Polymer Clay Gallery.

I do dabble in a little drawing and painting sometimes; here's my little Art Gallery. And check out the Character Gallery page for my portraits of the characters from all my stories.
